Rallye Auto Group recently took the steps to help employees battle flu season by providing flu vaccines during an on-site health clinic at the dealership. The health clinic also featured optional advanced screening to determine patients’ risk for serious falls, heart attacks, strokes or other cardiovascular issues.
“It’s no question that your health is very important, so we want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to not only prepare for flu season, but also be able to prevent other health issues down the road,” said Joseph Stanco, president of Rallye Auto Group.
Doctors and Physicians Assistants from Advanced Cardiovascular Diagnostics (ACD) provided the advanced screenings, which consisted of simple, painless non-invasive performed in a private area at Rallye Motors. The optional examinations performed were a vestibular exam, which detects inner-ear balance disorders; carotid Doppler, which detects plaque and strokes; abdominal aorta unltrasound, which picks up unruptured aneurysms; and Ankle-brachial index, which detects peripheral artery disease.
Rallye Auto Group has been a long-standing supporter of health causes in the community and was recently the main sponsor for the eighth annual Long Island Cruizin’ For A Cure Car Show, promoting prostate cancer awareness. Cruizin’ For A Cure is a unique event, as it is the only car show on east coast that offers free on-site PSA prostate cancer screening tests.
Rallye also supports its employees and their varying charitable efforts. The dealer group is also participating in the unique Ready When the Time Comes program offered by the American Red Cross, which trains corporations and community groups as disaster relief volunteers. Rallye’s volunteer group – more than 50 strong – will be available to pitch in when major local disasters such as large-scale flooding or power outages.
